Accepting Yourself Should Be #1 On Every Self Care Routine
The first step to proper self-care is accepting who you are as a person, inside and out. Although recognizing and assuming accountability for your flaws is hard, you can’t ignore or deny them. Self-care, when you're feeling down can seem like a pile of dirty dishes that never ends!
One of the tiny self-care tips that work is to be aware of your thought patterns and make simple shifts to change them. Good self-care habits will boost your confidence and this spills over into your dating and love life and helps you attract love!
Once you’ve done this, you can begin making progressive, healthy life changes to better yourself. Man issues deal with a person’s emotional well-being. When you’re body needs something it will often tell you (sometimes scream at you) with physical health problems. I believe that every physical symptom is related to an emotional block somewhere in your body.
Louise Hay talks about many of them in her self-care book “You Can Heal Your Life.” This book was the beginning of my self-care journey. I don’t know where I would be without it.

Signs Your Body Is Stressed
Unexplained weight gain, hair loss, tingling fingers, weird skin problems, headaches, and a multitude of other symptoms can alert you that you’re experiencing stress and need the best self-care tips You can read about them in Louise Hay’s book.
While there are natural ways to overcome your anxieties, stress or depressions, but if symptoms such as breakouts, panic attacks, heart issues persist, consult your doctor about a treatment plan.
The best thing is . . . You don’t have to do everything by yourself. But when you are by yourself, enjoy it.

Alone Time Isn’t A Bad Thing
If you are an introvert, chances are you don’t need to be told the value of alone time to recalibrate and calm your nerves. Although it’s great to be social, everyone can benefit from spending time alone. Being alone allows you to self-reflect and provides an opportunity to think about your successes and what your goals are for the future. You may even consider utilizing this time to practice meditation or partake in a yoga class to clear your mind and relieve tension.
I meditate every day for about 45 minutes. You can use guided visualization, focus or your breathing, or even walking meditation to calm your body and mind.
Nurture Your Body
While it is easy and convenient to eat chips, candy, and processed food that require no preparation, these foods are not providing your body with the fuel it needs. If you’re a junk food junkie your body will let you know it’s had enough! Receiving things that are good for your body will help you tap into your feminine essence.
When I was in my 20s I at pizza every day for about two years. I worked in a pizza shop, and hey— it was free and I was broke. So that’s what I ate. My body felt horrible and I won’t go into the problems I had with my skin.
My body was literally crying for help, and I didn’t understand why. I was uninformed. Luckily I found a chiropractor who knew how to tell me I was intolerant of a few food items: wheat, yeast, tomatoes . . . News flash! It was the food I was eating every day.
Sure it takes time, but to prepare meals that are healthy and nutritious, but in the end, it’s worth it and your body will surely thank you for it. Trust me on this one. Pizza and beer don’t do the body good.

How Do I Make Time For Food Self Care?
Plan it out!
Consider creating a menu and doing a majority of your meal prep in the beginning of the week. Put your cut up veggies in containers for easy snacking, salad making or sauteeing! This will help you stick to a healthier eating plan.
When things feel like they’re done for you in advance, it makes eating healthy simpler. If you have made wholesome foods for yourself as the week goes on it ensures you have healthy meals and snacks readily available.
Make Time
Self-care should be built into your day, even if it’s something small in order to maintain a mental health rhythm — the same treatment you would an important day at work. Creating a calendar to schedule all of your daily responsibilities can help with this.
This way, you know when you have free time to fit in a workout, a walk in the park with your dog, or an hour to read your favorite book, take a bath, or meet a friend at a cafe.

Talk It Out
The best thing that someone who struggles with mental health can do is talk to someone facing the same struggle. Vocalizing your concerns and having another person to talk you through your insecurities will make a huge difference. Especially if you're going through a breakup and need some positive inspiration.
If one of your co-workers, friends, or even a fellow family member is feeling anxious or struggling with body image issues, don’t hesitate to reach out to help. Self-care tips are a good thing, and people need people on the self-love path.

Stop Internalizing
Keeping everything internalized will only worsen the situation, and can even affect your long-term physical health. Don’t be afraid to speak up, and for those who are really struggling, seek professional help in the form of a therapist or psychologist.
Therapy does the body and mind good in every self-care regimen for women, men, and children. I don’t know where I’d be without therapy. Even talking to a friend can help. But if they give bad advice, it can make things even more stressful.
So when you seek treatment, make sure you jive with your therapist or doctor (or friend) on an energetic level. Finding the right people can help you feel like your best self! I hope these self-care tips for stress will help you feel cool as a fruit popsicle!
